Duncombe Engagement Fusion Video
Do you love it call today and we’ll create your own story.
Why is doing an engagement session important?
This is my time to get to know you guys and just have a great time together! If you have not planed on an engagement session with your photographer, I would encourage you to do so. Having experienced what it’s like to be photographed by Cheryl before your wedding day and seeing the beautiful images that result will both make you more comfortable on your wedding day and bolster your confidence in front of the camera. This also gives your photographer the opportunity to see what you respond to best and get to know you guys so that they will be better equipped to show you at your best in your wedding photographs.
Setting: I would love to take you somewhere that has sentimental value to you. Do you have a part of town where you love to hang out? Did he propose in a cool spot that you’d like to commemorate? Anything like that makes for a great location. If you don’t have a specific place in mind, give us an idea of the feel you’d like to have for your session (i.e. Urban or Rural, Fashion-inspired or Natural) and I’ll help you come up with the perfect place. Wherever we go, plan to run around and have fun with it! We want you to interact with each other, play, goof off, and be romantic. Don’t plan to sit in front of the camera and look at me!
I’ll do a little of that but the majority of the session should reflect who you are at this special time in your life. It should document for your children how fun and alive their parents were, not just how pretty they looked when they sat there! If you’d like to plan activities for your session, I’m happy for you to do so. I’ve done pumpkin carving, picnics in the park, football, coffee at Starbucks, and beers at a local bar, etc. You don’t have to plan activities but please feel free to be creative!
As a side note, pets are welcome.
